In the previous email Abraham Maslow powdered our purty wig with his wow based words when he said,
“What one CAN be, one must be.”
If these words don’t shiver yer timbers you’d better check your pulse. You may need life support.
And you’re in luck, because the Good Life is here to support you.
Support you in your pursuit of personal greatness as a real estate agent.
In doing so, we must do what Steven Covey convinced us to do in the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
Habit #2 says to Begin with the end in mind.
“Hey I’ve got a morbid idea… let’s try it now!”
Imagine yourself all pale and ashy lying there dead as a doornail in a cold casket as loved one’s mourn your mediocre life.
Now rewind a bit, and there you are on your deathbed about to croke. You’re all choked up with regret because just when you were drifting off and reaching for the white light – the door flung open and in walked the person you could’ve been and screamed, “I’m the person you should’ve been – you banana head!”
So today I remind you that you will suffer from one of two pains. The pain of discipline or the pain of regret.
Your choice.
Begin with the end in mind. Plan for your personal greatness and do it now!
P.S. My book notes for The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People can be found below. Please Read Them!
Have a great day my friend,

You’re either on a Mission or you’re wasting your one and only life (As my friend Jim Rohn said,
“You’ll suffer the pain of discipline or the pain of regret.”
Don’t die full of regret.

Business Building Kickstart.
This lead generation tip is for you if you are a real estate agent. (period). It doesn’t matter if you are brand new or a grizzled vet… I know you haven’t done this… even though it is obvious that doing so will bring you business.
And yes, I’ve already freed this cat from the bag many times. But I could not with a clear conscience leave this Lead Generation Tip untapped.
Call or text through each and every single person on your list and simply say to them, “Would it be okay if I sent you a couple of my business cards?”
They will all say, “yes”.
If they then want to engage you in a conversation… let it happen. If not, let them off the hook and literally off the hook… politely end the call.
This will set the stage that when your number rings through they will not cringe with the thought of a long winded phone call from you. They know you’re a self-aware and courteous person and if you are calling it must be important.
Next, you write out a simple handwritten note that says, “Great talking with you on Tuesday. As promised here are a couple business cards. If you ever need anything please let me know.”
Sign, insert cards, and mail.
Add an activity into your CRM to remind you to call back two weeks later. With this simple exchange,
“Hi Billy I’m following up to make sure you got the business cards I sent you.”
Listen for the answer. Engage in a conversation if they lead you. Otherwise swiftly and politely get off the phone. Once again setting the stage that you’re not gonna waste anyone’s time when you call.
End the call with, “If you ever need anything just let me know.”
And that my friend is the business building kickstart. If you ever need business… simply communicate with your list.
