As Mother’s Day approaches I wanted to write a short letter to my mother. Here is the first draft.
Thank You Mom:
Mom, I want to wish you the best and happiest of Mother’s Days. The one thing you will always be in my life until the end of my time on earth, is my mother.
I’m very proud and very thankful to have been blessed by having you as my one and only mom.
I want to thank you for carrying me around for nine months before I made my first appearance.
I want to thank you for taking care of me like nobody else would.
I want to thank you for parenting me as one when two is what is recommended.
I want to thank you for allowing me to find my own way.
I want to thank you for always being there for me when my way was a wrong turn.
I want to thank you for teaching me how to be a great dad by being such a great mom.
I want to thank you for always being proud of me.
I want to thank you for ALWAYS doing what you had to do when you had to do it, in order to keep me safe, fed, and with a roof over my head.
I want to thank you for instilling in me the belief that anything is possible.
I want to thank you for loving my wife as if she was your own daughter.
I want to thank you for loving my children as unconditionally as you love me.
I want to thank you for the feeling I’ve always had… the feeling that no matter what… you were there for me.
I want to tell you now, no matter whatever happens… I’m there for you.
I love you mom!
Happy Mother’s Day
